The Centre for Management and Professional Development is a fully accredited Edexcel centre specialising in collaborating with employers to develop programmes of learning and accreditation tailored to their business or sector need.

We are able to offer the design and accreditation of Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Awards, Certificates and Diplomas from Entry level to Level 8, as well as full or partial NVQ programmes. BTEC “Awards”, are the smallest accredited unit and start at only 10 hours of learning to provide a nationally recognised qualification.

Employers may opt for a ‘basket’ of stand alone mini qualifications giving support to many different job specifications, or choose to construct a matrix where blocks of learning are achieved and rewarded with national certificates along a pre determined pathway leading to a greater goal. This higher level qualification may be the BTEC Certificate which requires a minimum of 120 hours learning or a Diploma requiring a minimum of 220 hours.

When providing training solutions we will advise the most appropriate blend of ‘off the shelf’ and bespoke training to match the need; utilising distance and blended learning together with traditional methods of delivery.

To ensure the solution benefits the organisation and provides a valid ROI, whether designing new qualifications or selecting ‘off the shelf’, we involve the key stakeholders in all phases of the project to provide a truly bespoke solution. To reduce project start-up and delivery costs we also encourage the involvement of the organisations own staff in its development, particularly supervisors and managers, who then also gain personal satisfaction and kudos from the successful accreditation of members of their team.

Once a BTEC qualification is nationally accredited the organisation may choose to deliver the training and assessment in-house using the prepared materials and thus providing only the internal verification and certification – this provides autonomy and further reduces costs.

For larger programmes it is possible for the organisations own name to appear on BTEC certificates in place of the centre name.

We can also provide, or source, un-accredited open training courses where the quality is maintained by using only qualified or occupationally competent trainers.

All our bespoke training programmes are delivered by The Centre for Management and Professional Development (c4mpd).
